Padel N16

Mission
To create accessible, sustainable, and community-driven padel spaces in Hackney, fostering health, connection, and opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds.
Vision
We envision a vibrant Hackney where sport, social connection, and sustainability come together. Our goal is to inspire active lifestyles, support local engagement, and transform underutilised space into a thriving community hub, starting with the game of padel.

Sustainability
We believe active spaces should benefit both people and the planet. "The Clubhouse" will be built using modular, repurposed materials, serving as a welcoming café space alongside the court, with added planters and green space to promote biodiversity.
Community
We're committed to making padel accessible for everyone. Padel N16 will offer free sessions for local schools, affordable community play, and social tournaments to bring people together. Our "Yes Ball Games" initiative flips the script on play restrictions and brings this to life—serving the community on and off the court.

Movement
To make accessing the courts even easier and greener, we'll provide on-site bike stations and introduce a small fleet of community bicycles available for hire. Encouraging cycling aligns with Hackney's sustainability goals and supports a healthier, more active lifestyle.
Location
Somerford Grove offers real potential for Padel N16. We see an opportunity to rejuvenate a tired space and create a vibrant hub that's interwoven with the surrounding estate and local community—though we’re equally open to other suitable locations.
